Statutory Pay Rates
National Minimum Wage

| Development rate for workers aged 18-21 | £4.77ph | 4.83ph |
| Young workers rate for workers aged 16-17 | £3.53ph | £3.57ph |
Redundancy Pay
The Government has announced that, from 1 October 2009, the statutory limit on a week's pay will increase from £350 to £380.
Unfair Dismissal
The maximum figure to for a week's pay to be used in calculating unfair dismissal awards will also rise on 1 October 2009 from £350 to £380 per week
Maternity/Adoption Pay
- SMP/SAP - Paid for 39 weeks
- Pay rate for the first 6 weeks of SMP: 90% of average weekly earnings
- SMP/SAP for remaining 33 weeks: £123.06 or 90% of average weekly earnings (whichever is less)
- The Government are currently reviewing maternity pay and there is a discussion related to increasing pay from 39 to 52 weeks. There has not been a final decision related to the implementation date for this matter.
Paternity/partners Pay
- SPP - paid for 2 weeks
- Pay rate is £123.06 or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is less
